I have been invited to present at a conference for a philosophical association. The issue is related to environmental science and the law (environmental justice to be specific). The conference is in Guadeloupe, which would cost me around $1000 to fund (airfare + hotel). Are there programs out there that help fund people like me? I am a second-year law student, and I also hold a graduate degree in toxicology.

I guess the terminology I was looking for was “travel grant.” Can I get one of those if the conference itself isn’t providing them?
