McLean, VA (PRWEB) March 26, 2010

LMI, a not-for-profit government consulting firm, has appointed John Selman as the Program Director for its Energy and Environment group.

Before joining LMI, Selman served as a Principal and Senior Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton for 8 years, where he built a team of 90 professionals executing consulting engagements for federal clients, with emphasis on the National Park Service, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and the military services.

Selman will be responsible for overseeing the support of numerous federal clients in implementing responses to and solutions for new executive orders, initiatives, and regulations related to greenhouse gas reduction, climate change, sustainability, energy, health and safety, and environmental management.

Selman has more than 20 years of experience working in support of federal energy, environment, and facilities programs. According to Nelson Ford, President and CEO of LMI, “John brings great expertise and innovative thinking back to LMI. We are excited to have him leading our energy and environment practice.”

Selman has spoken and written for numerous industry forums, including the American Association of Cost Engineers, International Facility Management Association, U.S. Federal Real Property Association, and Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM).

As the government demand for solutions to problems in energy, the environment, and sustainability continues to grow, LMI invests in additional resources to reinforce our commitment to helping federal managers reach decisions that make a difference.

Fitzpatrick and Rep. Boehner Lead Small Business Roundtable on Job Creation

Doylestown, PA (PRWEB) October 24, 2004

Bucks County Commissioner Mike Fitzpatrick, the Republican candidate for the 8th Congressional District, addressed job growth in the Upper Bucks region with Congressman John Boehner (OH-8), who serves as Chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, and Vice-Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture.

“We need leaders in Congress who understand how to promote job growth in places like Upper Bucks County,” said Congressman Boehner. “Mike Fitzpatrick has a strong record of helping the farmers stay in the black and creating a healthy environment for the jobs of the future.”

“In Congress, I will fight to make healthcare more affordable for workers,” said Fitzpatrick. “We need to fix our broken lawsuit system and make it easier for businesses to purchase healthcare for their employees.”

“Mike knows that the key to good jobs is a good education,” said Boehner. “We can trust Mike to make our schools accountable and to develop innovative programs to keep Upper Bucks workers trained for employment.”

“People create jobs, not the government,” continued Fitzpatrick. “We must relieve small businesses of burdens like the Death Tax to allow them to create jobs or keep a farm within a family.”

John Boehner, elected to represent the Eighth Congressional District of Ohio for a seventh term in November 2002, continues to be a key leader in the fight for a smaller, more accountable federal government. During his tenure in the House, he has worked consistently to reform the federal government.

His first two terms in the House were marked by an aggressive campaign to clean up Congress and make it more accountable to the American people. In fact, during his freshman year, Boehner and fellow members of the reform-minded “Gang of Seven” took on the House establishment and successfully closed the House Bank, uncovered “dine-and-dash” practices at the House Restaurant, and exposed drug sales and cozy cash-for-stamps deals at the House Post Office.
